The mocking of Katrina victims is what should have gotten him. Just doing blackface to play a character shouldn't be bad. I don't think all the actors who played Othello or Otello in the opera version are racist.

What a stupid costume and in very poor taste but I don't think he should have resigned.

Here in Florida we don’t take mocking Hurricane Surviviors lightly.

Every native Floridian or those from Louisiana, Puerto RICO, Cuba, Houston Tx who live in Florida are not enthused. Add a new Governor who is just getting started and this guy was garenteed to get canned anyway.
