Looking at so much upheaval worldwide - the carnage in Syria, the turmoil over Brexit, the increase in terrorist attacks in the Middle East, the riots in France, the collapse of Venezuela, the right-wing turn in Hungary - not to mention the insanity triggered by Trump ... well, you may know that one idea behind astrology is that the stars may influence the entire world, like, y'know, if Mars is transiting through Cassiopeia, or something, so that everything is spinning out of control at the same time.

That's odd, everything is just fine where I am.

You're living in the most civilized peaceful time in human history.

And that's despite still living under statism.

Sorry, I can't tell from your post whether you're being funny, or whether you're one of those people whose interests are so narrow that they don't care about anything that doesn't directly affect them.

This is the oddest damnes thread I have ever seen. There are riots in France, so you believe in astrology? There are not riots in France and problems in the Middle East because human beings are inherently fallible, and compete with each other over scarce resources?

I mean, do you think that the baseline of the world is that everything is great? As others have already pointed out, what about all of the other eras of history, all of which were far more chaotic and violent?

If your really, truly believe in astrology, please watch:

Donald Trump First Term Astrology Predictions : G Singh

I don't really believe in astrology but this guy has been correct so many times that I'm starting to wonder! He's been saying 2019 will be difficult, that the Mueller report will come out in March or by late April, that we will be in recession by this summer, and that Trump will have lost most of the Republicans.

He also predicted that Trump will be replaced by Ryan or Pence. Ryan is gone so I guess it'll be Pence. Might as well believe astrology, lol. Makes as much sense as anything else.

Who are harder to believe, the Flat-Earthers or the astrologers/astrologists?

I have to admit that I'm a bit uncomfortable about all of the recent asteroids zooming by. Apart from that, the heavenly body that we need to be mostly concerned about is Earth -- it is getting warmer and that will cause some problems. Climate change will set things in motion that will make the current chaos look like a picnic.
