My thoughts are: You need to learn how to identify biased sources. Though with this one, I think the average elementary school student could determine that.

Corporations are responsible for the majority of pollution and climate change, but are continually let off the hook:

The United States is, by far, the worst offender of pollution per capita when you consider CO2 emissions. This is a problem with the US, not immigrants. If the US reduced its carbon footprint by making change in lifestyle, manufacturing, and economics, not only would pollution from immigrants be reduced, but pollution from people already here would be reduced. That would be a good problem to attack.

Rhetorical question? Because I'm sure you already know the answer. For example: the area where San Francisco is now use to be forested with deer everywhere. Now, it's a concrete jungle filled with human excrement everywhere.

Your "answer" is of course, garbage. The answer is, instead of allowing more and more to come in, fix the issue that we have now. We can't bring in all of the world's poor just because we feel sorry for them, we have to fix our own country, first - in many ways that it needs to be fixed. We were born here, so it's stupid to compare us to illegal aliens who want to come in, and the mass of other immigrants who want to come here even if legally. We don't have the room to take in everyone in the world. But you knew that, you were just trying to be cute - it failed.

OP: I've been telling the fools on this forum who screech about the environment this very thing for some time. Of course none of them actually care to sit back and think about it and how true it is, because then they can't use illegals for future voters - they may "care" about the environment, but they don't care enough to stop allowing in millions of people into areas that cannot sustain them, environmentally.

Oh is that how it works? You can't rationally discuss the impacts of low birth rate on the economy of a nation unless you compare a country the same size as the US? Geezus....

The lack of job growth and promotional opportunities in Japan are a direct result of their low birthrate. If there is no economic growth there are not enough senior level positions being created to accommodate the 'interns', they have nowhere to go.

Quote:
An article earlier this year reported on Japan's declining marriage and birth rates, which were at their lowest level since the post-WWII era. Furthermore, the falling number of births contrasts with Japan's ageing population - the country has the highest percentage of over-65s of any developed nation, making up over 27% of citizens.

People living longer means they also stay in work longer and in Japan, as in other countries with an ageing population, this can lead to a 'skills gap' where older workers are slow to retire, and sufficient skills and knowledge are not transferred to younger workers.

This phenomenon also explains, to a certain degree, the 'intern trap' in which many young people find themselves. As Neil Howe wrote in Forbes, a lack of 'room at the top' in the workplace can lead to the proliferation of low-paid work, zero-hours contracts and unpaid internships in a great many industries.

A well stated truth!
