Who in their right mind wants to sit and hear Trump lie? We all know the man is a compulsive liar and con man. He is up to his ears in corruption. More coming out every day. Take a lesson people. The bragger narcissist and all of his free time in the White House is hurting our country.

I recall one of my grade school teachers taking our class to her house to listen to Eisenhower give a State of The Union speech. This would have been about 1957 or 1958. It was during regular school hours.

Haven't heard one since. Certainly don't want to break a 60+ year hot streak

I think most Trump critics aren't like Trump fans....we won't be watching -- will read the transcript.

The State of the Union has always bothered me. It's a propaganda opportunity for the sitting administration. I didn't like it when Obama did it -- I don't like it when Trump does it.

It's ridiculous -- it's a dog and pony show. The Republicans will stand and clap on cue, the Democrats won't. Trump will use his political pawns he has invited for his personal gain and his agenda and the fans will love it.

It's a freak'n circus.

Or, maybe even if presidents just make grandiose announcements of vague plans, is it still a good idea to try to force most of the country to stop what they're normally doing and listen?
This may be the rare thing that you and I agree on. It is a complete and utter waste of everyone's time.

Trump hasn't started any wars. But other than that you are spot on.
