Well, that's just nonsense. If "funds for the wall were approved several years ago," then we wouldn't still be having this conversation, because the wall would have already been built. Right?

You're right. Congress was to build double barriers back in 2006 not mere fences but only 30 miles of the double barriers were built. This needs to be corrected and funds allocated to do it.
I hope Trump doesn't bring about another shutdown. Those poor people! He needs to pause and try to imagine what it's like to go without for pete's sake.

We don't live in a dictatorship, well maybe we do. Since when does congress have to bow down to the demands of our president instead of representing the people in this country. If Trump throws another temper tantrum closing government because he doesn't get his way.....it's all on him.

A few weeks ago nothing short of a wall would do. Now even you know the wall is not happening.
The art of the deal--give up $5.7 billion and your wall, and settle for $1.6 billion and a barrier. No wonder Trump went bankrupt so many times.
Walls and barriers do the same thing. Keep illegals out.
