I actually agree with what Burdell says.I think it is good that foriegners join the site and join discussions.I mean this is the WWW after all where we have a chance to communicate with many people.

We are mini abassadors in a sense and telling someone to MOD CUT from a thread because they aren't American is not setting a good example while dialoge might even sway them to your views.

And it's true that Americans turn a blind eye sometimes when its convient.

This may be true, but it's our fault that we put ourselves in this position.

China can't tell us MOD CUT

They need us more than we need them. Why? Because we are the ones buying the Chinese goods. Without us, they would have a bunch of idle manufacturing plants and millions out of work.

Furthermore, they aren't going to sell off our debt amass because it would lead to the fall of their currency as well.

-India is up and coming..thanks to offshoring the residents have money to spend
-China can easily switch to peg off the Euro

We are not the top dog anymore and shouldn't feel so smug that "they can't do xxxx because we are the US".

Actually China has the one of the fastest growing middle classes in the world. They have their own markets for their own products now. While I have no doubt it would hurt them badly if no longer had the US as its largest customer, how difficult would it be to satisfy America's desire for cheap goods? Can American's actually afford the mass quantities of junk if it weren't made in China? I don't know.

I am from China, also a Christian.
I am not sure someone know much about China. But I clearly know we donot intervene other countries' politics and do not invade any country, we cherish the life. Some contries always crow about human rights, but usually violate other countries human rights!
As we hate Japanese goverment, but we sympathize to some of their harmless dumb millions.
Every country has its strongpoint and disadvantagel, all are developing, I do think it is a good thing to scrach some countries' disadvantagel to talk and talk, depreciate and depreciate.
Where is the war come from? What the war always brings us? On the Irak soil, there were blood of Iraqi, but also many kind American soldiers'.
Love others, as love ourselves.

Indeed.
It IS the WORLD Wide Web - not the AMERICAN Wide Web - and dispite the fact that most posters here are almost surely American, we have no right as posters to tell others to butt out.
