It was taken down after a month. Should have been taken down sooner, teachers have zero reason to be politically indoctrinating their students or presenting a biased view one way or another.

A New Jersey mom has accused a high school teacher of inappropriately bringing politics into the classroom by displaying an anti-Trump T-shirt. The shirt mimicked former President Barack Obama‘s “Hope” posters, but it had the words “Nope” and “Vive la résistance” underneath a picture of the current president, the local Morristown Daily Record reports.

If people are to be called-out for pro-Trump merchandise at a school, then it helps to call out anti-Trump stuff at the same school as well.

I call this the slow grind.

In my town there are certain bozos that put up signs in their yards that denounce Trump. One simply says "Trump is unfit to serve". I get a bit sad when I pass these signs and I feel sad for the people that feel the need to put them up. I guess that is how they "resist".

In the meantime pro Trump signs are vandalized or stolen and in one case the town asked the guy to take his down because it was causing such a stir. The sign had been vandalized so many times but the guy kept repainting it and fixing it. There was a Hillary sign in the yard next door that was never touched. Go figure.

The slow grind of Anti Trump garbage can and does find its way into peoples minds especially the young and impressionable. Sad.

I don't care what someone puts in their yard even if I cringe when I see some of it but I do care what teachers are doing when they express their personal views in the class room. I can't remember in all my days in school ever knowing the political views of our teachers. Once in awhile something might slip out that would give us a hint, but not, even in college were the faculty in your face with there views on things that they should keep quiet about. I feel the same way when it comes to religious leaders. I would be insulted if our pastor got up on Sunday and told us his political views or even gave us a hint. I know how ours feels from private conversations with him, but neve at the alter has he said anything.

So does the continual stream of Trump's outright lies.

Our PUBLIC school buses in my school district had Hillary bumper stickers on them, and they got away with it because the schools are 100% Democrat run.

From the article:

".....Laurel Whitney told the local paper that a student in the Roxbury High School class sent her a picture of the T-shirt so students wouldn’t face retribution for sharing it themselves......."

That's not a good thing if they actually feel there could be retribution from a teacher over politics.

Of course, it is NJ.

Agreed … but the stridency, over-simplification, and downright vulgarity of much of the anti-Trump crowd seems to be fomenting a backlash of its own. It's more subtle, and more slow-acting. but probably more-enduring over the long run (maybe because it's grounded more in logic rather than emotion?)

Those of us who saw through Obama and the Clintons' lies in 2016 worked long and hard for our vindication; hopefully, the process will repeat itself in 2020.

This is petty much all that needs to be said on this thread. The rest is partisan bickering.
