If you feel that way, can I have your social security seeing you don’t want it?
I am not against them. My point was to show many that are on the all socialist things are bad that they are already taking part in socialist programs in this country that are very popular and need it by many but they still don’t see that those are Socialist Programs
If it's such "a simple principle of society and civilization," why do 45% of all US 1040 filers pay NO federal income tax whatsoever? Why aren't they contributing to the "simple principle of society and civilization?"
In many cases that is because of the deductions they are getting for their kids, and in many of those cases they are kids they can't afford.
Why do I say 'in many cases they are kids they can't afford' ?...
Because, in data from 2013-2016, the Kaiser Family Foundation found that in 41 states the percentage of overall births covered by Medicaid was 40% or higher (in 24 states it's 50% or higher), with the highest being 72% in New Mexico, and the lowest 27% in New Hampshire:

By force. And that's EXACTLY what socialism is, the forced redistribution of wealth. Rob Peter to pay Paul. I don't see why that's necessary. Just look at all the people who insist the US needs a social safety net. Just have all who believe so voluntarily donate their money to fund such social safety net programs.

Oh, I agree. So why are irresponsibly-breeding Americans relieved of the responsibility to contribute to the "simple principle of society and civilization?"
No I wouldn't support it. People and their employers paid into it, they bought the benefit, it isn't given to them.
Uh no. Money taken from your paycheck on Friday is used to pay bills on Monday, there is no lock box or account with your contributions safely set aside in it. And what one gets out of these schemes has absolutely no correlation to what was taken from them while working. You did not "pay into it" that is a lie propagated by the politicians who greedily use your money to purchase votes with. As well, if such insolvent/bankrupt schemes were likewise run in the private sector, they'd be illegal.
Yes end them and for every young person entering the job market should in their own self interests advocate for the same. Many are already burdened with non-dischargeable student loan debt and will face additional burdens in being forced to pay for the retirement and health care of a rapidly aging majority.
Immoral ponzi's one and all.

No, but if it was absorbed in Medicare it would be better. Why they need a different inefficient system has always been beyond comprehension.
Medicare isn't free. There are still premiums, copays, and deductibles. PLUS, one has to have paid Medicare tax for a minimum of 10 years and be age 65 or older to receive benefits. Shouldn't all US healthcare follow the same rules?
