It's amazing isn't it. They truly don't want to know what they don't know if it dares contradict their "Orange man bad!!" worldview. The story I linked is incredibly well researched and is based on congressional testimony and government documents and NO ONE in the mainstream media even acknowledges its existence. You would think they'd at least be curious to know what's being alleged if for no other reason than to debunk some of it but they don't even acknowledge that it's a thing.
The big takeaway from it though is the amazing power the mainstream media has in shaping the national narrative by what they choose and refuse to report on. Literally the entire mainstream media apparatus outside of Fox News has focused 24/7 on any and every potential Trump controversy no matter how trivial while totally ignoring potentially the biggest political scandal in modern American history or at least the biggest in any or our lifetimes. Imagine how hysterically the mainstream media would be reacting if top level anti-Hillary officials in the FBI, CIA, DOJ, State Dept, etc had colluded to push a fabricated foreign conspiracy/collusion hoax to sabotage or undermine a Hillary (or any other Democrat presidential campaign for that matter) campaign/presidency. Just imagine the 24/7 coverage and outcry of outrage if the roles were reversed yet not a peep in the media about it. The mainstream media's complete ignorance and refusal to even acknowledge this story is truly Orwellian and astonishing.
If the Trump presidency teaches us nothing else it will have at least revealed beyond any doubt how in the tank the mainstream media and the Deep State is with the Democratic party. Even more so it reveals the lengths that the political establishment (both Democrats and establishment RINOs) will go to insure than no political outsiders ever threaten their power if they have can help it and how far a complicit mainstream media will throw away any pretense of objectivity to do their bidding for them.
