Funny how the people here who rightly call out the bias of the US corporate press have so much dislike toward an actual journalist who has done an immeasurable service exposing the crimes of the US government.
Under what international law does the USA have this right?
The US has an agreement with the UK and many other nations for extradition of criminals that have committed crimes against the US or vice versa. Once he steps out of the sovereign ground of that embassy he will be subject to UK law and that extradition treaty.
....have so much dislike toward an actual journalist...
Wholesale dumping of documents onto the internet is not journalism. Anybody with journalistic integrity is going to examine what they have and carefully choose what to expose. They may even consult with the government involved through back channels to determine what the impact may be. e.g. they are not going to expose information that will put people's lives at risk.

Are you now the arbiter of what's a journalist now?

This person clearly has no understanding of journalism. That's not how a journalist works at all.
I don't? Can you provide one example of any major news source that has simply dumped documents into the public domain?
The NYT had a lead on NSA spying a full decade prior to Snowden, they killed the story at the request of the WH and intelligence agencies.
No, you don't. Did you fail to read my previous post?
I can't implicate the major news source that I've worked with... but it's not the NYT. It's a competitor. Sure, you may base your opinion on your knowledge of your favorite news outlet, but that doesn't automatically extend to all news outlets.
Different newsrooms measure integrity in different ways. Many feel that the truth, whether the impact, is what integrity is all about.

The 16 words in your previous post? LOL I don't have a favorite news outlet, I pretty much do not like any of them. Anybody that would expose information that is going to put peoples lives at risk has 0 journalistic integrity especially if it's completely unnecessary to get the story out.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion around journalistic integrity. Yours is simply wrong.
