I say yes.
For EVERY POTUS.....for multiple reasons.

But I will let the dear readers think up the others except the obvious....

1. In effect, it is "ruling by decree" something we have never done in this country.
2. It is too easy and therefore cheapens any process behind the policies.

I am thinking of the Founders and their ideals of a thoughtful process - this concerns the Senate (in addition to the house), but how much more true would it be for an individual???

"There is a tradition that Jefferson coming home from France, called Washington to account at the breakfast-table for having agreed to a second, and, as Jefferson thought, unnecessary legislative Chamber.

"Why," asked Washington, "did you just now pour that coffee into your saucer, before drinking?"

"To cool it," answered Jefferson, "my throat is not made of brass."

"Even so," rejoined Washington, "we pour our legislation into the senatorial saucer to cool it."

Tweets have no time to cool.

Nope. I want the POTUS off Twitter when it comes to policy. I'm fine with the official tweet channel to commemorate important milestones, holidays, remembrances, etc.

But, him on there attacking people and riling up people is stupid.

Which government agencies are taking tweets as official government policies and enforcing them?

Also, the poll question directly opposes the thread title, so it's confusing as to what you're saying yes/no to.

Tweets are not ruling by decree.
Transparency is good for the most part.

"Should the POTUS be able to rule by tweet?"

Another false premise.

Should it be ILLEGAL for YOU to post?

"In effect, it is "ruling by decree". Only in your dreams!

What EXACTLY has he DONE "ruling by decree"?

Was it Illegal for obama to "rule by executive order/ Memorandums"?

Some of you get more and more desperate every day. TDS is a serious mental disorder!

I WANT him to TWEET so we can see for ourselves WITHOUT the liberal media filtering and distorting what he ACTUALLY says.

And people like you CAN'T STAND IT!

Don't you think you could have worded your question and "answer" better?

Should it is illegals for a POTUS to tweet policy, etc.???

Yes, the POTUS should do whatever he or she wants in this regard

Obviously some people think that the media would accurately speak for the president and his policies. Nah, they wouldn't misrepresent anything <sarcasm>

"Should it is illegals..."

What happened to people reading what they write before putting it out on public display?

How exactly does speaking in 280 character chunks equate to "ruling by decree?"
