Law of Unintended Consequences.

If you give them a free ride to a place that is accepting, expect a revolution.

As it is, illegals have to hide and duck and cower in most places.

Give them a place where they'll be accepted and can thrive, you've got a revolution on your hands that Trump can't win.

Again, HOW is giving sanctuary cities/states what they want payback or punishment? It just simply isn't. They should be welcoming the unvetted illegal aliens with their open sanctuary arms and all their public resources.

But that wasn't the concept -- that's how you fans are trying to spin it.

The concept was to 'punish' the opposition.....

It wasn't providing a solution for anybody.

It was mean to create more chaos.

That's not fixing a problem -- that's adding to it.

Sanctuary cities aren't asking for busloads of undocumented residents to be dropped off at their doors.

And that's why the idea was 'floated'.......

It had nothing to do with your ridiculous spin on the issue. The intent was not to provide anybody with anything they wanted.

It was to cause harm to all.

That's a spiteful. mean, hateful way to run a country.

And that's what many people are objecting to.

If in all sincerity Trump really was wanting to do what is best for all -- there would be willing to listen to what he has to say.

This whole story enforces the exact kind of policy making -- spiteful, revengeful, hateful policy making -- that folks object to.
wow. giving cities what they clamored for is 'spiteful, mean, and hateful' now?

*boggle*

Why not? That's the entire point of being a sanctuary city/state. They ignore illegal presence status in the US and welcome all.

I'm not a supporter of sanctuary cities but this politics of pettiness and payback should be beneath the office of the President of the United States. Unfortunately there's nothing that's beneath Donald J. (the "J" is for "juvenile") Trump.

libs are whimpering all of the sudden. Good idea to dump them into sanctuary cities. My concern though is that they will find there way into neighboring states, cities and small towns and burden there resources

Oh My God ... give us a break .... it’s just as others have already clearly stated .... you want em’. Here they are. I think it’s a BRILLIANT tactic .... maybe ... just maybe .... you leftist wingnuts might start thinking finally, if you’re forced to feel the impact of the policies you promote. Let us know how having hoards of illegals flooding into your communities, creating havoc, increasing crime rates, and over burdening your infrastructure and local resources is such a good thing.

No it isn't the entire point of being a sancturary city. It is clear you misunderstand and don't want to understand.

I'm not a big advocate of sanctuary cities. BUT this idea that was 'floated' is horrible and shows a low in our govt that we should all be disgusted with.

Developing federal policy to spite the opposition is a low that none of us should be defending.
