Real solutions means hiring a TON of judges to clear the backlog. Notice how only a little of thats occurring? 836,000 cases and rising is the current backlog. Know how many judges? 414. And that (to give some credit) is after the Trump administration hired more in the last 2 years then the 7 before.

Hire 5,000 judges and we could rapidly impact this. That would be a real solution. But this childish nonsense? Its political hackery of the worst sort designed to make chaos and hurt people, not solve problems. But hey, if "sticking it to the libs" is your mantra? Dont be surprised that when the political winds change (and they always do) you get treated the same way back.
I think most people agree with the E-Verify ..... except of course the CongressCritters who would rather legislate for Lobbys instead of Citizens.

As for ICE - Sanctuary City policy fights against ICE and so does the 9th Circuit.

As for the backlog in cases .... you have already pointed out that is an Obama leftover and partly due to Laws that the CongressCritters refuse to change OR even sit down and talk about.

Hire 5,000 Judges??? That would be nice, but what's better is to improve the Process.
Anyone but me remember that we just had a month long Government Shutdown over funding for Homeland Security -- which funds Border Patrol, Customs, ICE, Refugee settlements, Shelters and Judges. Democrats are not interested in funding this stuff and they (as Nancy always points out) CONTROL the budget.

Delay is the name of the game when it comes to Immigration -- delay long enough and many just disappear into to horrible and dysfunctional system. We have a serious and outdated process system.
It was never intended to work with a 100,000 monthly influx AND with the mysterious constant Caravans that are never ending.

So...these "sanctuary cities" aren't really "sanctuaries," in the classic sense of the word, one might surmise.

They're not really places of refuge, shelter or safety for these illegal aliens, as the word "sanctuary" implies. In fact, it appears that these cities don't really want to offer shelter, sustenance and safety to illegal aliens at all, judging from their collective reaction.

They would simply like to be known as "sanctuaries," without having to provide any of the things that actually make them sanctuaries in reality. These "sanctuary cities" are not really interested in helping the illegal aliens who might appear at their door.

No, evidently these "sanctuary cities" merely want to be seen as generous, giving and magnanimous, without actually doing any of the heavy lifting that is part and parcel of generosity and charity.

It's a good thing the Administration afforded these "sanctuary cities" the opportunity to let the illegal alien community know that the word "sanctuary" mans something altogether different insofar as they are concerned.

I think it's racism or whatever -ism for officials from sanctuary cities not welcoming immigrants. They will end up in sanctuary cities anyways and Trump is speeding things up.

Awwww...what's the matter, auntie? Are you afraid that they will send these people to your sanctuary city? And that there will be a flophouse with 10-15 of them on your street? And that their kids will be sitting next to your kids/grandkids in school?

Do you even know what you're ranting about? You start with an incoherent rant about Trump, then you say that the sanctuary jurisdictions will be kinder to the so-called asylum seekers. So, auntie, what's the problem with sending them to sanctuary cities?

Oh...I get it! Your whole post is all about TDS

You misread what the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled, which will probably be reversed. Hope it is headed to the Supreme Court for final resolution. Enforcing immigration law and policy is within the U.S.' chief executive's purview.

Quote:
A federal appeals court on Friday temporarily halted a ruling that would have stopped the Trump administration from forcing asylum-seekers to wait in Mexico as they wait for immigration courts to hear their cases.

The decision by the three-judge panel on the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals blocked a lower ruling from taking effect and gave civil liberties groups until Tuesday to submit arguments on why the asylum policy should be put on hold. The government has until Wednesday to argue why it should remain in place.

Mr Trump is graciously allowing them to go to the Sanctuary Cities, Counties and States that have voted Welcome & Sanctuary polices.

Border Patrol shelters are full. Over 100,000 people in March alone. You surely are not suggesting that the people who live in these Sanctuary Cities are rejecting these poor people after all their Lawsuits, Local Laws and Welcoming rhetoric...... are you?

Indeed. Refute this excellent thesis coastal elites.

Why wouldn't they be released where they are wanted, instead of where they are not? Better for the illegals, and better for the community. It takes a hate-filled moron (such as Obama) to release them where they are NOT wanted.

Hollow threat when the senators and reps in these sanctuary states are already predominantly Dem.

Childish response.

Sanctuary city folks want, open borders, willingly undermine our immigration laws and provide the bait for the caravans. Flyover folks want border integrity, wide ranging immigration reform and national security.

Yet, this is your contribution to the debate?

"Targeting?" Why would that be "targeting?" Shouldn't the people of San Francisco welcome this? Or is San Francisco full of racistbigotxenophobes?
