Flogging is common for a range of offences in the region at the tip of Sumatra island, including gambling, drinking alcohol and having gay sex.
Aceh adopted sharia after it was granted special autonomy in 2001, an attempt by the central government to quell a long-running separatist insurgency.
Two things to note with this...
1- I am highlighting this to make awareness of the brutality of Sharia law and Islam. It is religion of control without love and relationship.
2- It's important to note how they accepted Sharia law in the last paragraph I underlined. Their government got tired of radical Islam's shenanigans and gave in to accept the terms of Sharia law. You cannot give in to their demands.
I don't understand why people want to live this way. If men want to sleep with 72 women, go to a brothel.
As for the women? They're not even promised any type of heavenly reward. No wonder they have to be brutally kept in line, there's no positive incentive for them to follow the religion.
This is how they keep their women in line. Want to exhibit your sexual freedom? Show your ass on Instagram? Brag about how strong and independent you are? Go right ahead, but expect to be beaten within an inch of your life, or worse. Why don’t these strong western women denounce this behavior?
The Islamic world is basically 200+ years behind the west in terms of social development. 200+ years ago such behavior happened in Europe and the Americas. As the effects of the Reformation, counter-reformation, and perhaps most importantly the Age of Enlightenment took hold in the west, society became more secular and less brutal. The Islamic world hasn't had any of those things happen yet and remains backwards in attitudes towards tolerance of differing beliefs and peoples, and of course basic notions of human rights.

I’ve denounced Islam and all its incarnations every chance I’ve had. You appear to be quite content with the way they “keep their women in line”. Is that what your daddy did with your momma?
What I also denounce, however, is the way our politicians treat the “Muslim” countries. I’ve been disgusted with the Saudis for over 40 years but our government treats them like “royalty”. Please, they’re nothing more than filthy Bedouin usurpers.

The Islamic world got stuck in the 7th century. They’re ass backwards and always will be. Humanity is just going to have to wait for the effects of their continued inbreeding to thin them out.
Saudi Arabia is even worse they would have probably beheaded her out in a public square with a cheering crowd. This is sad.
