Difference being, in Football the game is played by two teams. At Trump rallies the game is played on the audience.
And what is at stake at a football game is...a football game. The stakes when the president of the United States consciously and deliberately whips up hatred and division within our nation are much more real and dangerous.

I don't recall either Preside Obama or Hillary Clinton holding rally after rally after rally to whip up heated, hate-filled frenzy among their supporters.

Where do these people infatuated with Trump go after he is out of office. The guy is not a king yet some are worshiping him like one.
So many are making excuses for the continued expansion of executive power without considering that there will be a president after Trump that will be a democrat with those same Expanded powers.
Even if Trump is a two term president, it will come to an end and if your entire plan as a party is “Do what he says”, what do you do after “HE” is gone?
They are venting. Not the pipe bomber, a dangerous nut, but the rally guys. Protesters from either side do that all the time. "Left behind" people do have reason to be angry. Women had reason to be angry when they had no rights. The suffragists vandalized and blew stuff up to get attention to their cause. Would you prefer they had been wall flowers and women never got any rights? Same with minorities. Why are they ok and these men are just dolts?
On the other hand, these guys remind me of the idiots that tear around my neighborhood in loud diesel trucks and don't respect anyone. So, I'm kind of torn.
