It seems to me, looking at you guys arguing over everything, is that things everywhere have got totally out of control. This is the big issue which needs to be addressed and not all the minor issues you are all arguing about. You are just wasting time and energy and being distracted.

Sometimes a revolution or massive upheaval is necessary to 'clear the air' and get things back on track. Start again or reset/reboot the social computer. Pain will ensue but in the long run, things will be better for everyone. The world and the country is going to the dogs and I think most people can see this whole situation is only getting worse and worse.

Unfortunately, as I understand it, the way the Universe works is that if we do not make the decision to do something about a situation for ourselves, then something else comes along to force our hand and does the upheaval or reboot for us. Now...what is more powerful than a country's administration? I guess it is aliens, Mother Nature, or a general uprising from the people who will have to step in and press the on/off switch.

It is our choice, we either man-up and do this ourselves or be at the mercy of someone else doing it for us.

Incidently, there is no point attacking me, we are ALL responsible for the mess. Me, you, everyone, even people who live outside the USA have let things get out of hand in their country too.

Sometimes enough is enough.

Arguing is what makes this forum fun. There’s a reason P&OC has the most activity.

Yup. When I don't feel like arguing - and I often don't - I read a book, knit, go for a walk, play in my garden, watch a movie, text something funny or interesting to a friend...

And I suspect just about everyone else who posts here does exactly the same!

The point of the post is not the arguing. That only illustrates the problem of distraction from larger issues.

Sometimes it is easier to argue or talk about something else than it is to tackle the real problem.

But that's part of the argument, isn't it - exactly what IS the real problem?

Or an attack from others...

Mother Nature... that was Hurricane Harvey two years ago that took place after Charlottesville.

Jaw jaw is better than war war.

Attributed to Winston Churchill.

There are ways to reboot the system without getting into a war, coup or an act of terrorism.

A natural disaster often unites everyone on a local level but it does not produce results for a long time - until the systems have been rebuilt from the ground up.

An alien landing would perhaps unite people on a nationwide level because the infrastructure and systems would probably still be intact yet the shock would disrupt.

From my own perspective, I feel there are plenty of things which need to be changed because currently there does not appear to be much regard for the good of the people at the moment. Most of the stuff going on is for the good of large organisations, profit, power, and greed.

In the US, the government seems to be out of control, the military and industrial complex seems to be out of control. All seem to have their own agenda, going their own way or fighting against each other. Secrecy seems to be the way power is controlled and it feeds on itself rising to quite unnecessary limits.

There ARE some good people out there in positions of power, but we need to elevate them and put systems in place to protect them from corruption by the 3-letter organisations, the large corporations, and those who want to profit at the expense of the people's well-being and health.

This problem is across the world not just in one country, so it makes me suspect we are due for a global reset not just a national one. As I hope you can see, I am not a revolutionary but someone who watches what happens and then I draw my own conclusions. Of course, you may not agree with my conclusions.
