For the first time, a North Korean cargo ship has been seized. It was transporting coal and machinery.
There are those who attempt to convince everyone that Trump was 'played', somehow. Those same people ignore the fact - demonstrated here - that North Korea feels the pain of sanctions and wants very much for those sanctions to be lifted. They are wrong. The US is coming out ahead and should not give an inch when enforcing sanctions.

Default Breaking News....The US seizes NO. Korean cargo ship in violations of sanctions.

Breaking News....The US seizes NO. Korean cargo ship in violations of sanctions.

This is a first. Its about time the US shows its serious. Little Rocket man fires a few rockets and China tries to pull a fast one on trade. They were rocking the boat and Trump seizes it. They wanted to test Trump and Trump passed the test.

I can see NK & China flipping through the pages of the book, "Art of the Deal."
I can see the conversation now.
Xi Jinping to Kim, where does it say he would do that ? Have you found it ?
Kim to Xi Jinping, I thought you said he loves us !!!

The Trump administration said Thursday it had taken custody of a North Korean cargo ship for allegedly violating sanctions, announcing the first-such seizure shortly after Pyongyang fired two short-range ballistic missiles, its second such launch in less than a week.

seized the Wise Honest, one of North Korea’s largest bulk carriers, after it was used to ship coal and heavy machinery. Officials said it had traced more than $750,000 in illicit payments through unwitting U.S. banks in violation of U.S. and United Nations sanctions.

On Thursday, the Justice Department asked a federal judge to give the U.S. ownership of the vessel through a civil forfeiture action — the same thing prosecutors do when they seek to take ownership of planes or boats used by drug smugglers.

This is a bold move, and very good news. About time we started no-kidding enforcing these sanctions.

I have a funny feeling that Russia, China, Iran and others are going to be rethinking their stance after this act of piracy and the precedent it sets.

Appeasement got Europe nowhere with Hitler. It didn't work then, it won't work now.

I suspect they'll be knuckling up.

That wouldn't be a war. It would be a fight. With a winner.

Exactly. It's not like the sanctions America put on Japan caused Pearl Harbor. But that wasn't really war since there were no boots on the ground. Obama said.
