Not sure about that but the statement was inaccurate. It's Trump and his base that chose their New American Fascist Party over America as we once knew it. Not the Republicans whose party was hijacked.

We aren't there yet. But the Trump Party is an old-fashioned populist/nationalist/neofascist movement, it is nothing new or unprecedented. Whether we go into full authoritarian mode with a completely unchecked Administration is yet to be determined, but Trump is obviously testing the waters.

Sorry to dogpile here but, you can't say we're a fascist country then folow up with "we aren't there yet."
The fact that you state the "Trump party" is all of these other things also doesn't make it true.
One of two things need to happen here. 1) Point out exactly how this is the case and provide citations or, 2) stop saying this kind of thing as if it were true.
It's one thing to not like Trump or dislike his policies but, it is entirely another thing to state that Trump and/or his supporters are any of those things you've mentioned. If you double down without any kind of proof other than opinions given by TV personalities, you are the non-journalist version of fake news.
It's a simple fix. Show your work or you're considered wrong. It worked pretty well for math when we were in school. It should be good now, too.
whatever it takes to deflect from the DOJ investigating them....keep the focus on Trump and Barr....and make Barr out to be some alien spawn..Mueller too if he doesn't play ball
