One account I'd read stated the other passengers were yelling that he did nothing wrong when they gave him the boot. And the flight attendant was described as young. I guess all that power went to her head.
Maybe there is a new airline policy that if you tell jokes that aren't really funny..............you get thrown off.
Now if he'd said: 'A flight attendant and a bottle of vodka walk into a bar.............'
This raises even more questions like the following: Did it hurt when they walked into that bar? Was the flight attendant at least 21? Was the flight drunk when they walked into that bar? Which bar was it? What brand of vodka was it?
Normally I don't take sides in these disputes. I also fly a great deal and many of my flights are well over 12 hours in length. I dread the delays, they can cost me my connecting flights.
I have watched flight attendants take tremendous abuse from passengers who either think they are funny or are just doing their best to be A holes. Very seldom does it result in the passenger getting the boot.
The so-called eye witnesses. Lets see irate passengers POed about delays and hating on the airline for it, are going to be somewhat less than ideal witnesses. I will always question the veracity of of such.
I have seen in my time 2 or 3 people get the boot and all deserved it and more. One man I saw not once but twice reach up a flight attendants skirt. He got the boot. Yes he even had witnesses saying he did nothing wrong.
Maybe in this case the attendant was out of line, maybe not. None of us were there, none of us really know. What I do know is when you fly, you watch your manners and behave like a civilized human being or you might get the boot and in many places that includes the costs of the delay. I never talk crap at the crew. I have filed complaints and have always been compensated for the inconvenience.
It seems that every flight has a wanna be comedian who thinks that they are funny. No, they are just annoying.
As a person who loves to travel, but dreads the complete disempowerment involved in commercial aviation, I'm not so sure. Only incarceration and surgery involve a greater degree of confinement and powerlessness, and once in a while, one of those "little Napoleons" has to deal with it, while maintaining an outgoing appearance to the other 98 percent of the population. There's probably more than what meets the eye involved here.
True, but that does not appear to be the case here, given how many of the passengers stood up in outrage and tried to protect the passenger. It was evidently recorded, and was certainly well-witnessed, so we should find out in the end.

Well, yee-haw, Jethro - that there "quote"" function is so easy, even a girl can use it. What happened?
Posting the same incoherent word salad twice doesn't make it look any less stupid, Mr. Computer Genius. It actually makes it look twice as stupid, and twice as sexist. But by all means, wear them both with pride.
I feel like there isnt enough in the article. In the last 6 months I been travelling twice a week, every week is something different but in my opinion is mostly other people, I have yet to see an air attendant that wasn't on the right side of an argument.
There is also more to it, you are telling me you are sitting in the tarmac for 2 hours, which agreed the worst, all these stuff is developing in slow motion , no one recorded the passenger being escorted off which I am sure happened really peacefully because people let that go, come on that guy would have been dragged off the plane and no one recorded it. On the surface I feel like its personal between the air attendant and the guy giving a statement.
Normally if I hear something like that, it's just coming from the person kicked off and you have to take their version of events with a grain of salt.
For the story to be coming from neutral parties, crazy stuff.
