The reason these employers were notified is that taxes are paid into the system and the Fed. Government notes that many SS numbers are invalid, duplicates, expired etc.
To my knowledge they do not send the money back to the Employer (matching funds) or employee.
In other words, there are millions of people working in this country paying full SS and Medicare taxes into the system who will never take a penny out.
Please correct me if I am wrong...but this is my experience.
"If all undocumented immigrants were deported today, next year’s Social Security trust funds would have approximately $13 billion less for benefit payouts. It’s a considerable loss of dollars,"
So....it looks like I am right. YAY. Free money helping the system survive so it can pay American workers.
Imagine how much is being paid into SS that won't have to be paid out!
Appro 17% with medicare - a worker making 40K would be putting $7,000 per year in for Americans to use in the future.
This is amazing news.
According to the most recent analysis by the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), one illegal immigrant living in America today costs U.S. citizen taxpayers about $8,075.
The average unlawful immigrant household received around $24,721 in government benefits and services while paying some $10,334 in taxes [in 2010]

It is UNTIL they and their DACA children eventually vote and declare that it was so “unfair” and that they should receive those benefits too along with Medicaid.
The state of texas, the Cato institute and many other right wing groups claim they can hardly survive without the economic benefits. I'll take their word for it.
"Texas economist Ray Perryman in 2017 put the total net economic benefits of the state’s undocumented workforce at $290.3 billion in output (gross product) and 3.3 million jobs annually."
WOW....just one state and we are talking 300 BILLION......wow.
In any case, there is lots of money being paid in....that won't get paid out.

Yeah, I don't think craigiri understands the big picture here hence my "huh?" response.
Thanks.
