Federation for American for Immigration REform is a biased group. You can count their figures on being factual as much as you can count on the Easter bunny.

Come on now - - at least try to find real numbers.

In other words, there are millions of people working in this country paying full SS and Medicare taxes into the system who will never take a penny out.

Please correct me if I am wrong...but this is my experience.

"If all undocumented immigrants were deported today, next year’s Social Security trust funds would have approximately $13 billion less for benefit payouts. It’s a considerable loss of dollars,"

So....it looks like I am right. YAY. Free money helping the system survive so it can pay American workers.
You are certainly free to support more immigration but please, first most illegals in this country are not going to make 40k a year unless perhaps they live in a high wage state, second immigrants illegal or otherwise have a tendency to have very large families and all those kids have to be educated at a cost of. 11000 a year on average.

Thanks.
Well, then the GOP lawmakers in Texas and Florida, the Cato Institute and many others must not understand the big picture either.

But you do.

What type of work do you do? Macroeconomics? Quant?

I'm just quoting the Economists and Pols in Texas and elsewhere who are saying they are getting vast benefits.

Is the GOP wrong about this but your "gut" is right?

Do you think that will include people like the illegal aliens employed at Trump's property?

The employers already know that.

What’s Trump gonna tell them next? That the sun will come up tomorrow?

Regardless of the "real numbers" people criminalized by the State that claims the geographic area in which they live still incur costs on society because both "legal" and "illegal" folks are manipulating the system for resources.

Marxists don't understand capitalism. I doubt the GOP, boot-licking socialists, have a real economist amongst them.

I am responding to the OP.

The state of texas, the Cato institute and many other right wing groups claim they can hardly survive without the economic benefits. I'll take their word for it.

"Texas economist Ray Perryman in 2017 put the total net economic benefits of the state’s undocumented workforce at $290.3 billion in output (gross product) and 3.3 million jobs annually."

WOW....just one state and we are talking 300 BILLION......wow.

In any case, there is lots of money being paid in....that won't get paid out.
So they sent out 500k notifications while Texas notes there are 3.3 million working illegally in Texas alone. So as noted, window dressing. They are not addressing the issue.

Get used to it. It's what business wants and business gets what it wants.

What good is it to understand a theory when it comes to real life?
