Trump Kicks Off His 2020 Campaign ... Against Hillary Clinton
The gang was all in Orlando for the President’s re-election kickoff, and his old 2016 foe was foremost on his mind.
The old gang was all here: Mike, Eric, Don Jr. Lara, Melania, and, of course, Hillary, who was there in spirit though not in body.
“Deplorables,” “LOCK HER UP,” acid-washed emails, fake news, MAGA hats, invasion by immigrants, trade deals, U-S-A, and Trump’s alleged swamp-draining. For Trump, Tuesday’s big speech at the Amway Center in downtown Orlando may have been billed as a campaign launch, but it was really about reliving his past glories.
And the audience adored him for it, stomping their feet, screaming his name, and chanting about how much CNN “sucks” and “LOCK HER UP" !
What, OP, you were expecting some actual new ideas for where he wants to take the country during a second term, legislation he hopes to pass, solutions to problems facing the country that he wants to put forward, some things every other intelligent presidential candidate talks about when they kick off a campaign?
His supporters don't care about such tripe. They're there for the show. Period. Trump would lose his entire base if he actually tried to talk policy. It would go right over their heads. All they understand is inanities like Lock her up! that they can chant without having to think, which is a taxing experience for them. Which is just as well, because Trump is utterly incapable of such intelligent thought anyway. Lock her up! and whining about emails is about as intelligent as it gets with him.
He is a perfect match intellectually to his supporters.

Trump is running to avoid being locked up. The presidency is protecting him. The Dems should be shouting "Lock him up" because if he loses - he might actually get locked up. Seriously.

What are Democrats proposing? Allowing men to compete in women’s sports? Slavery reparations? Open borders?
The lock her up chants will never go away until she is finally locked up, and that's just how it's going to be.
