On the escaping violence question, if violent gangs are so bad, why do so many in these countries raise their children to become gang members? It seems to be a homegrown problem for these countries made entirely by choice.

Most of those coming here in the caravans are not fleeing violence they are seeking economic opportunity on the backs of the U.S. taxpayer. Fleeing violence is not a viable reason to claim asylum anyway. Why didn't they seek refuge in Mexico which was offered to them?

Lord Jesus. Have mercy - please educate yourself ! Gang membership is not like joining the country club! They they take a young boy, beat him up, n threaten that if he doesn’t come with them, they will kill his parents and and make his little 8 yr old sister the prostitute if the entire gang ! Where on earth do you hide not to know these things are every day threats in the real world!! Dang !
