President Trump’s overhauled July Fourth celebration cost the D.C. government $1.7 million, an amount that has bankrupted a special fund used to protect the nation’s capital from terrorist threats and provide security at events such as rallies and state funerals.

In a letter to the president Tuesday, D.C. Mayor Muriel E. Bowser (D) warned that the fund has now been depleted and is estimated to be running a $6 million deficit by Sept. 30. The mayor also noted that the account was never reimbursed for $7.3 million in expenses from Trump’s 2017 inauguration.

They are asking the administration to reimburse the fund. How many think that will ever happen? But hey, President Bone Spurs got his military celebration so that's all that counts.

Because this was a Trump event, his supporters here on C-D will shrug it off. But if Obama did this, Trump supporters would probably be outraged.

Not only did it wipe out their security fund--Trump has not paid his $7-million bill for his inauguration yet. Nor has he paid his rally bills to many of the cities across the country.

So when the alt-right starts their city-bashing and whining about urban problems, rather than blaming it on the left as they usually do, how about we give some credit to deadbeat politicians like Trump who take advantage of the cities, force them to pay out for their partisan rallies, leave a ton of garbage and litter for the city clean up, and then stiff them, while bragging about having millions of dollars.

Incorrect.

They are asking Congress to reimburse the fund as they have done for decades.

You didn't even bother to read the very article that you posted in hopes of criticizing Trump. It's right there in that nonsense article from WaPo.

BIG FAIL on that.
