Only about 2.3% of workers make the minimum wage. These jobs are supposed to be entry-level jobs for teenagers and young adults to enter the job market. If you're 30, 40 or older and you're in an entry-level job with no drive to better yourself, then I do not feel sorry for you.
I was making $7/hr minimum wage in 2000. Adjusting for inflation, the minimum wage should probably be almost $15/hr today. If we had the equivalent of a $15/hr minimum wage 20 years ago, we can do it today.
President Trump said in 2016 that wages are too high, so I doubt he'll want Congress to raise the minimum wage. One of the things Republicans are most vehemently opposed to is raising the minimum wage. I don't expect the federal minimum wage to be raised until DC is once again dominated by Democrats. Most of the $7.25 min wage is confined to Red States, so the only way those states can raise their minimum wage is when the people have the right to vote on it as Arkansas did not once, but twice. So min. wage there is $9.25.

Say you - now in Florida what you see is Grandma n pappy - at McDs because they raised the taxes and ins so much they can’t just retire in peace. Stop looking down in folks - I know many vets doing those jobs pt.

But in a lot of small towns, minimum wage jobs are the only ones not too hard to get. So the excuse is those with low paying jobs can't move to a bigger town for better paying jobs.

Well, I'm sorry those particular older people didn't plan better during their working years. That doesn't mean they should deny a young person just getting started an entry-level position.

Where? I had a minimum wage job in 2000, and the federal minimum was still $5.15/hr at the time
When you place a tax on something - the price must rise.
Tax labor to fund socialism - BAM - cost for labor goes up.
(Inflation)
When inflation drives up the cost of goods and services, people think that raising wages will fix it.
NOPE.
Raise wages - BAM - prices go up some more.
BWAAAAAAH... !
The simple fix : abolish socialism, its taxes and expensive administrative overhead, and eliminate the minimum wage.

Well that's baloney. Homeless people move to bigger towns all the time.
Someone employed could certainly do it if they were motivated enough.
