They only polled 604 people? My understanding was that there needs to be a minimum of 1,000 respondents.

About the most you’ll see on Polls is about 1,000 people, because to get that sample you’d need to call 20,000 people. The minimally statistically valid that I’ve seen is 100 people. It’s all in how the sample is drawn, but hopefully the higher the sample the lower the margin of error (MOE). People always make the mistake to say a poll is garbage if it doesn’t hit the exact prediction. They purposely forget that if the actual result is within the MOE, the poll was within the ball park.
