The Tory party has just named Boris Johnson the new MP of the United Kingdom. He replaces Theresa May.

Brexit can finally happen. The Remoaners are losing their minds.

STEPHEN GLOVER: Just like his hero Winston Churchill, Boris Johnson is rackety, feckless and gaffe-prone. But this could also be HIS finest hour

Johnson got ~67% of the vote. A very convincing majority.

It's great that the status quo globalist establishment has been defeated again.

Seems the British globalists have learned a lot from the American globalists though, and are going to try to tie Boris's administration down with baseless accusations and legal proceedings.

Blow hard who easily breaks promises he knows he can't keep. Taking the UK out of the EU is one of them. His love affair with Trump won't last long, either. Only it will be Trump who makes the break, when he hears Boris's ideas about free trade.

*shrug* let's see what he does rather than what he says, an issue Europe has greatly struggled with the last 20 years or so.

I've long viewed the EU as a trainwreck when you can't even keep member nations in line on contractual promises about budget and a shared currency.

The UK and Germany in particular are doing a lot of the hard work to keep some of the others afloat in nice social programs and so forth.
