I'm leaning more and more progressive everyday due to the blatant hypocrisy and hatred from the right, but this was just plain, stupid. Since you brought it up...You need to follow the news a little more. LG was very irritated (he said "*issed") at a number of things "jackass" Trump said, most notably the comment about McCain not being a war hero because he was captured, which LG said had "crossed the line."
LG realizes that this is campaign garbage. It's all part of the game. At the time of Trump's slight, Graham also said something interesting, given your "warhawk" comment: that Democrats were suddenly coming to his friend's defense after years of calling him a warmonger.
He was right on the mark, and even John McCain didn't see the irony--he was just used as a pawn in the left's fight against Trump.

I have no idea what your philosophical view on life is, but one of the key parts of being a good Ally, advocate, or gay friendly person is knowing full well it is wrong to stereotype, or telling people when and how to tell their own life story.

So in short, if you agree with that philosophy, wouldnt you want people who failed at following that rule to be called out on it ?

You should look in the mirror at the blatant hypocrisy and hatred from the RIGHT too. I know there is hypocrisy on the left and I called it out on Lupone and don't like the Sharptons and Jacksons of the world as much as I don't like Trump.
