A Lancaster County man who made a “gun-like hand gesture” at his neighbor committed a crime, according to a Pennsylvania Superior Court ruling.
Stephen Kirchner, 64, of Manor Township, was charged last year with summary disorderly conduct for the gesture, according to the Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office. The gesture prompted the neighbor to call 911.
“Kirchner argued on appeal that the gesture did not cause a hazardous or physically offensive condition, that he did not intend to cause public alarm, and that there essentially was no harm done to the victim or society,” a statement from the DA’s Office said.
However, the high court found the gesture of imitating the firing and recoiling of a gun “risked an altercation” and supported the charge. The neighbor also reported feeling insecure, which is why the call to 911 was placed. 'Gun-like gesture' deemed crime by Pennsylvania court
There was a thread here the other day about 4 wanna be nazi's were kicked out of Universal studios for doing the Hitler salute and the ok sign, (didn't know that was a white supremacist symbol) as they rode a roller coaster.
How many kids have made the gun like hand gesture for fun?
It is really about intent. So in Pennsy it is now against the law to make a gun like hand gesture but it is still legal to flip off the President and cops and it is ok to flash gang signs?
How about if someone used the old finger moving across your throat? Will that soon be against the law too?

Parents Furious After Boys Suspended For Using Fingers As Guns

TALBOT COUNTY, Md. (WJZ) — Is it child’s play or a serious threat of gun violence? For the second time in less than a month, a Maryland child is kicked out of school for using his finger in the shape of a gun.
There’s controversy at a Talbot County school after two 6-year-old boys were suspended while playing cops and robbers during recess and using their fingers to make an imaginary gun.
“It’s ridiculous,” said parent Julia Merchant.
This is the second time a Maryland child has been suspended for such play. Earlier this month, 6-year-old Rodney Lynch was suspended from his Montgomery County school after pretending to fire an imaginary gun more than once.
“Just pointing your fingers like this and then she did the pow sound and I just went like that and then I got sent to the office again,” Lynch said.

The world is getting dumb with this PC nonsense.
The "OK" sign is NOT a "white supremacist" symbol. It was made up by 4Chan to troll the media into believing that it was - and look here, the media stupidly believed it, and spread it around as if it were true.
It was trolling. And those who do it are trolling!
As for their Hitler salute - while it was a Hitler salute, I'm going to bet it was more trolling, and all the perpetually offended, who believed what the media told them about the "OK" sign, and who also have zero sense of humor anymore, didn't even realize they were being trolled. Fell right into the trap - and you can bet that 4Chan has been laughing their hinds off because of it.
As for the "gun" sign being illegal - why is anyone surprised. We live in a clown world now.

Well trolling or not it was enough to get the 4 booted from the park "supposedly"...
As for the gun sign being illegal it wasn't that long ago that kids were suspended for drawing pictures of guns, chewing a pop tart into the shape of a gun and threatening to shoot a friend with a Hello Kitty bubble gun..
The world is nutz and you are right that we live in a clown world now but many have lost their sense of humor.
