He just said so in a press conference at the White House! Ask any liberal! It's an outrage! Impeach him immediately! This, at last, is the end of his presidency!!!

Well, OK, just trying to see what it's like to write like a typical leftist fanatic.

What actually happened:
Just saw him on TV, live, talking to reporters after some conference he had, walking across the grass. He had a man with him who was apparently a very high official in World Soccer, or something.

Trump said that the World Soccer Cup would be held in the United States in 2026. And he quipped that he would have to "extend his Presidency" to 2026 so he would be in office when the tournament took place.

Have liberal heads exploded yet on the various LMSM channels at his shocking, outrageous "demand"? How could Trump so brazenly and callously announce his scheme to stay in office beyond any election mandate??

Just a matter of time, you know. Sooner rather than later.

We have threads here all the time about that very topic. Heck we have a lengthy thread going on right now about Biden touching a womans arm which terrifyingly (they actually used the word in their thread title) happens to be near her breast.

They also made the stay in office and declare martial law claim about Obama, Bush and Clinton.

So to be honest, the OP is entirely right, we have some real nutjobs that post here from both sides.

Trump has talked MANY times about ignoring the constitution and staying in office indefinitely.

Such talk is not funny, especially given his other autocratic tendencies and demands.

More and more one can never be certain "who" is posting "what" from "which side" and "why". With all the web brigades out there and especially with Brad Parscale and his 2 million new ( his estimate) Goebbels trained "volunteers", the plot is sure to thicken.

There's at least 30% odds he won't survive that long. He is getting old and fat with clogged arteries. Heart disease or a stroke seems probable.

Even if he DID say it I wouldn't believe it because I don't believe liars.

Yup. His supporters will say he's joking and maybe he is. But the reason so many of Trump's jokes fall flat is that humor in a situation depends on its improbability. Dogs wearing sunglasses or babies in ties are amusing because it's unexpected.

It's hard to take Trump's comments as a joke because 1) he says it waaayyyy too often and 2) we all think he'd totally do it if he could
