Nigeria is a tough one in my mind. The people of the largely Christian south are on our side, but there is a whole lot of terrorism (ever hear of Boko Haram?) emanating out of the largely Muslim north. I suspect what we're really trying to do is prevent radical Muslims from entering the U.S. without having to say so (and thus inflame the righteous indignation of their fellow traveling liberals), so in order to get around this, we have to make our friends in the south suffer.
Maybe the ban could have been applied only to those Nigerian states that are predominantly Muslim, but maybe they decided that this would be unworkable.
Nigeria? These countries are our allies. This travel ban makes little sense.
You expect sense? From Trump?
He was already extorting "favors" from Ukraine, which was one of our allies. He has insulted heads of state from countries which are our allies. This is the abnormal way that Trump acts.
Afghanistan and Pakistan didn't make the original or updated list.
You'd think with Trump murdering babies in those two places like it's a bodily function actors within those states would be likely to seek revenge by coming to the U.S. and reeking havoc.
