Obama's IRS would have caught Trump if there was something to catch.
Trump doesn't want his tax returns to be released for the simple reason that Democrats will make every little detail a story in 2020, similar to Russiagate.
Democrats hid behind Russiagate, so they didn't have to clearly state their position on other issues, same if Trump releases his tax returns.....lots of details in those returns can be made into a phony scandal.
IRS doesn't really care where the money comes from, even if illegal, just that it's taxed properly.

Trump aside, I'm not comfortable with making tax returns a requirement to run for POTUS.
We already have too much nitpicking and too few people that want to run because of the intense scrutiny. We are just going to make things worse in the long term just to get revenge on a guy who may only have ~1 year left in office.

Thats not true. There are plenty of things that people TRY to make into issues that really aren't issues. Our political environment is so toxic that its dangerous.

Why does Trump lie and say "my tax returns are being audited" for 3 years and you believe him? How does it feel to know he's lying? If you don't know he's lying, I am informing you now. It doesn't take 3 years to audit anyone.
Does anyone believe Trump releasing his tax returns would stop left wing nut jobs' attacks on him? There is no upside to this. The smears will continue as always since that is all the Demwits have in their now empty bag of dirty tricks.
