This nonsense of a vote not directly counting due to the electoral college needs to stop.

EVERY vote for President “directly counts.” But one needs to understand that we don’t have a popular vote for president, we have state votes for electors. Your vote “directly counts” for your states electors. Believing that it does (or should) count for something else is simply extreme stupidity.

It's fair because if it bothered them enough, they are free to move to a red state if they so choose. Just as they are free to move to a more sparsely populated state to get 'more bang for their electoral buck' if they so choose.

I like the idea of one person one vote, the electoral system makes it possible to take your vote and apply it to some one else.

No it doesn’t.

The electoral college system is one person, one vote, with each vote counting equally.

My only two gripes is Electors could vote for the candidate who did not win the State. I don't think points should be awarded to the winner of the State but divvied up to the top 3.

It's a woefully outdated system.

Nope.

Electoral college is fine but need to get rid of winner take all and return to proportional. Then everyone’s vote will count. Only a couple states still do it that way.
