You mean why shouldnt he be able to use racial slurs with no consequence? Cops should be able to do that even when provoked, and people should just accept it right?
They want to be cops because they need money and they have no other marketable skills. Thats also why many of them are derelicts.

I really, really, really don’t know why anyone would want to be a cop. Unless there is video, these were after all teens (who are notorious for filming everything on their cell phones) I find it hard to believe he used the clearly offensive word.
Such a thankless job.

Maybe some do lie, especially when they have a gullible press to help them play victim. If the cop did it, he should be fired.
I wouldn't want to be a cop. I don't have the temperament for the job. Cops are required to swallow way to much crap.
I do believe that Cops should be required to wear body cams that are never shut off while on duty. Cams with mics. That would take the he said she said element out of the job.
There is a saying. "Everybody hates the police, until they need a cop."
It appears it was a large crowd of kids, and they were recording him.
So, let's hear it.
If he did it, he gets fired and that is the right response.
At the same time, how much abuse was he taking from the large group of teens? I don't know. I do know that I don't beige in saints. Everyone has a limit. I dont know what he was dealing with or how many times. Some things are accumulative, verbal abuse being a good example.
I wonder how many parents of these teen victims chastised their own children? At least 1 parent was honest enough to say that teens were also wrong.
