That’s when Mounib started thinking about what would happen if he went to the people who were afraid of him, Americans who were worried about Muslims, Arabs and the Middle East, and offered them a free trip to Egypt.
The film Free Trip to Egypt documents the adventures of seven Americans who got the opportunity to go to the country, to meet and learn from the people they have feared.
“I think it’s based more on a misunderstanding and not hearing each other than it is a real threat,” Mounib said.
Hmmm. My dad and grandfather had rocks thrown at them while on a tour of the Valley of the Kings. This was in the 70's. Wouldn't set foot there for a zillion dollars now.
As long as their religion says "kill the infidel beside you," I will strive not to be the infidel beside them. It is not fear at all, more like a combination of common sense and contempt.
As for this film maker, I hope someone gets really annoyed at his apologizing for bigots and shoves his camera up his ass.
I've found them to more prejudice than Americans, just better at marketing themselves as friendly northerners rather than brutal colonists terrorizing the Eskimos and living in big modern cities with massive class conflict and cultural segregation.
Don’t like nasty beards, females with covered heads, prayer calls, men who abuse young boys, etc. Don’t guess any of those countries are on my goto list
Did he show them the video of those 2 girls getting their heads sliced off by Muslims in Egypt?
