"I didn't have fear. I knew what my rights were," said Yoana, 36, a native of Mexico who works on the apple farms of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and spoke to AFP on condition that her full name not be published.
Certainly ICE has the right to enforce immigration laws, but just like any other law enforcement agency, they also have protocol that they have to follow when doing so. As far as not answering the door and trying to avoid law enforcement when they're worried about getting in trouble, plenty of US citizens do that as well, or don't say anything before they talk to an attorney, etc. If they really want to apprehend them, they will, but where they place their resources depends on how much they are trying to apprehend them (i.e. people in the country illegally committing violent crimes, etc.).
If US citizens were abroad and did something wrong, they wouldn't tolerate being abused or would fight back as best as they could do defend themselves too.

It's funny how "immigration activists" use American laws as a shield when it suits them ... while encouraging and helping others to ignore other American laws they don't like.
The only innocents being terrorized are US tax payers. Not criminal types slithering across the border. They deserve every ounce of fury we can muster.

Then Americans that hide from the law should face the same consequences. So what's the point of bringing that up? Anyone in our country illegally should be sought after not just those who commit violent crimes. That's like saying only go after bank robbers but leave the rest of the thieves alone.
What makes you think that ICE isn't following protocol? What makes you think that these illegal aliens are being abused in any way? It's also a lame excuse to claim we don't have the resources to go after illegal aliens when we know where they are. There are far more illegal aliens raping our country economically and in every other way than there are those who are committing violent crimes. We should go after both!
If US citizens were abroad and did something wrong....
Can't you see the difference? These people are not 'abroad' on vacation....they broke into our country and are criminals. Screw 'em, I hope they live in fear until ICE catches them....
