Sure, it was not the flight attendant's job to do such a thing. But let's face it, the passenger knew exactly what he was doing, to provoke, and he got what he wanted.

Quote:
A flight attendant for Southwest Airlines is facing scrutiny after allegedly posting a photo on Facebook criticizing a passenger for wearing a t-shirt supporting President Trump.

Mark Kaminski, a Chicago resident, shared the screenshot of the post he said was from a Southwest flight attendant, saying that a friend had shared it with him, and claiming that both are supporters of the president, USA Today reported.

The flight attendant’s post reportedly showed a man in a seat on a Southwest flight, wearing a navy blue t-shirt with an American flag and the words “Suck it up Buttercup” and “Trump 45” on them.

Wear an intentionally crass shirt designed to get a reaction, then cry foul when someone reacts to it. Seems reasonable.

If this person was wearing a Hillary T shirt, the Trumpees would be all over this.

Its not even a "Trump/Pence" or "MAGA" shirt. Its one telling non-Trump supporters to "Suck it up". Its designed to offend other people.

If you represent your company on social media and you offend your company's customers you should expect to get fired.

Reverse the situation and if a flight attendant made the exact same words comment but replaced trump with(Hillary, Obama, etc..) the left would be outraged.

Either way the employee can't separate his personal beliefs from his professional duties so he has no business being in a position of responsibility over customers in an aircraft.

Did she post her criticism on the company's social media or her personal social media?

Not sure how someone taking a photo of you in public is a violation of privacy. Can you explain?

In any event, certainly Southwest can discipline her if she violated company policy. Surely Southwest wants to stay politically neutral. That said, I'm not sure what the complaint is otherwise. Wear an incendiary shirt in public, get criticized for it. What did he expect to get? A cookie?
