Haha, this is a non-issue. Conservatives sure love to make a mountain out of a non-issue.
I don't see any real inconsistency in her story here. Because I can relate.
In the past, I lost a job. Nowadays, I tell people I didn't like it and it was time for me to move on in life. Truth be told, I am still convinced it was homophobia that caused me that job. But whatever, I never say this to anyone I know.
As part of her campaign speeches, she talks about how she was fired from a teaching job for becoming visibly pregnant.
However, some old interview footage turned up where she is saying that she did not have the prerequisite courses to teach special ed. She went on leave to take the courses, and while away, decided on her own, not to go back to the job.
And Trump lies 24/7 for all the world to see, and he still got elected, and his supporters still love him and don't hold his lying ways against him. I guess it's not cool for a woman to lie, but the guy gets a free pass.
I am not a fan on Warren, but what she says rings true.
When you are a first year teacher, you have no tenure. The principal can chose not to give you a second year contract for ANY reason.
Instead of being forthright, most principals will get something on you to hold it over your head, and then give you a choice; those are, either resign for personal reasons, or be let go with this black mark on your record where you will NEVER be hired in that district, and most other districts, again. By forcing you to resign, you get no unemployment benefits either.
Of course, 99.99% of teachers chose to resign for personal reasons so they can seek employment elsewhere.
How do I know this? My wife is a recently retired teacher. She has had this done to her, and she has witnessed it being done to young teachers she has mentored.
Most of you have no idea what goes on in your local schools. It is like middle school all over again with cliques, rumors, backstabbing, etc., with the principal being like the head cheerleader in charge of it all.
My wife has always said she prefers to work for a male principal. She thinks males are more objective rather than subjective like a female principal.

The school board minutes state that her contract was renewed. According to her 2007 interview (I posted the link, above), she decided after enrolling in courses required to obtain her teaching certificate that teaching wouldn't work out for her. Furthermore, according to the school board minutes, Warren submitted her resignation which the school board "accepted with regret."

Have you ever been to a school board meeting?
Who prepared the agenda, the school superintendent or the board president?
Depending on the size of that district, I doubt any board member had a clue who she was. They approve hiring at every meeting.
The superintendent at my current district will sometimes introduce the new hires in the district police department. I have been to more trustee meetings than can be recalled. I have never seen or heard any discussion regarding personnel. That is up to the principal. And it was in 1971, too.
My kids were in school during that time and I was in the office of the principal or superintendent daily. Got more than a few incompetent teachers run off, too. They never knew what happened.
