I have no idea what Trump thinks and I don't care. And I stick by what I said unless it turns out she was drunk or texting while driving. Apparently I am more forgiving of the human ability to err.

I think you will find that driving on the wrong side of the ride is a greater risk and mistake than texting while driving.

All well and good to be understanding and forgiving of an accident, nearly everyone has that capacity. And of course her inexperience in England would be a mitigating circumstance, as too would be good character (if she displays some and returns to face justice).

No one is suggesting she should be locked away for life, but to pretend a crime with catastrophic outcomes didn't occur due to the negligence of inattention and driving without due care is beyond forgiving.

Again, would you apply the same standard if it were your wife, mother or child killed because someone drove negligently?

Total joke of a thread by the OP. However, it's expected. Waste of time.

Interesting the US was happy to seek immunity waiver when a foreign diplomat killed a US citizen in the States.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/natio...dunn-immunity/

"In 1997, when Georgian diplomat Gueorgui Makharadze slammed his Ford Taurus into a row of cars at a stoplight in Washington’s Dupont Circle and killed a teenage girl, the United States asked Georgia to waive immunity, which the country did. Makharadze was convicted of manslaughter and sentenced to seven to 21 years in prison."

If he's talking about poiliticians, it's possible true.

It's called doing a Ted Kennedy.

Thankfully most Americabs are a lot nicer than there politicians and would stop, help, and own up in suich circumstances.

No, you deal with it in court. The woman chose to flee the justice system = scumbagger.

Trump will never be a President that calms and assures people concerning a tragic event. Having said that I did not see anything wrong with what he said, nor can I think of anything he could have said that would make the situation better. Diplomatic Immunity in general is seen as a negative by the general public but the general public also understand why it exist.

Actually I am relieved that he didn't go off the rails like he normally does and say something crazy like "England should change their roads to match America" or some other nonsense. Shame that is even a concern I have when listening to a Head of State. We are in a mess.
