It doesn't shock me that CNN but to really see and hear it from inside Cnn is incredible. Very powerful journalism about the death of journalism and rise of opinions masquerading as news
That's most of the news media. All carving out their own niche to try to stay alive.
Please note that FOX is no different, you just may not be as discerning if it's saying things you like to hear....just like the CNN viewers.
Not sure why this is a shock to anyone, I was a CNN guy since the 90's and in the past 3ish years they clearly took a left turn to try to help shore up their sagging finances and ratings. I'm not even talking about the Trump stuff but things like running story after story about some white woman yelling something racist at someone during an argument type stuff they were making national news....but they didn't run the the story about the black serial killer of older white guys that got caught.
So I voted with my viewership and dumped them for Reuters and some others that aren't trying to work a political angle for $$$.
P.S. You do realize that they're for profit corporations right? Even the ones that aren't like NPR...are still beholden to ratings and advertisers and viewer $$$.
It's nothing really new or shocking. Turn on CNN right now, it's just the "We hate Trump" network. You can tell that half of the reporters on their shows are bored talking about Trump besides Cuomo, Stelter, and Don Lemonade. Guys like Wolf Blitzer looks like he's just there waiting to retire and leave.
CNN functions as sort of a superPAC for the Democrat party and a propaganda arm. They went all in on the Mueller investigation and when that flopped, it's now all in on impeachment.
The weird thing is the amount of former CIA, FBI, NSA spooks hired as analysts on CNN. CNN just functions as arm of the Deep State and it's desire to do away with democracy and free elections. Someone from the czech Republic commented on the role the media played in the Soviet union.
people living under Soviet rule just regarded the state TV with cynicism and knew they were lying
Left/DNC: CNN, MSNBC, NPR, WP, NYT and 95% of the media
Right/RNC: Faux News
All controlled by our lovely CIA to misinform their public with distractions while bigger stuff is going on.
