The thing is, I am sure that there are debates in the Trump White House about clearly renouncing racism and saying that Black Lives Matter, even making change, as their position grows increasingly tenuous. The trouble is, while he might gain many decent voters then, he'll lose the racists and xenophobes that he has cultivated as his base. And then he'll lose the election.
