We have a friend whose son lives in a $5000/month apartment in Manhattan which he said is only 40% occupied. Says he wants a discount on his rent. Also says Manhattan is still very much deserted.
Can't wait to hear JB Pritzger doing that. When I leave Illinois, I am taking a photo of my tax return this year to show him how much he gave up by being greedy. (They are raising our state taxes upwards of 67% in the fall).

That's exactly why I already left IL. Living in a low-tax red state, now. IL can KMA.
The fact is, people were willing to put up with these high taxes until they allowed all the crime to run rampant. At that point, people started saying I am outta here. Another gang shooting on the most exclusive shopping street in Chicago happened on Monday. People have had enough.
