Bush details $70 billion war funding request for 2009 (http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/n/a/2008/05/02/national/w083145D24.DTL&tsp=1 - broken link)

Quote:
According to the nonpartisan Congressional Research Service, Congress has provided $526 billion for the Iraq war alone, with the two pending requests coming on top of that. Operations in Afghanistan have cost $140 billion.
Message to the democratically controlled congress: grow a pair.

Let's give them $80 billion dollar. The extra $10 billion dollar to the entire Bush family, if they stop reproducing and leave America.

Look at our economy, food prices, and gas prices. Look at how extremely weak the dollar is. Lets give it up in Iraq before our economy crashes and burns completely. WE NEED TO STOP NOW for the simple reason that we need the money to be spent in the US right now. We are headed in a dangerous direction and we don't seem to be doing anything about it.

Democrats made a lot of promises to take Congress... and have yet to deliver on anything... and the economy is a lot worse now.

It looks like the only thing they've succeeded with is giving people who don't pay taxes, someone else's tax refund and letting the telecom companies open to lawsuits that come from trying to help the government when we were all in a patriotic fever.

What a mess.

Our economy is worse because Messrs Greenspan/Bernanke's enabled the biggest heist of all time manipulating interest rates to enable the real estate scam.

Yeah right. One side argues that FDR kept the country in the Depression longer than need be, the other side will blame the Repubs for this one.

No one is ever honest about anything. Atleast I read Greenspan's "The Age of Turbulence" and know both sides of the story.

I don't care who's at fault for what's happening right now. I just know that the Dems made a lot of promises that they sure didn't keep.

Well it doesn't help any that Congress and Bush are at war themselves.
What Congress wants..Bush vetoes.
What Bush wants..Congress vetoes.

Until we get the boyz in Washington working TOGETHER for the good of the country, not of the party, nothing, absolutely nothing will get done and we will crumble.

Let's take that $70 bil and work in the crumbling infastructure in the United States.

Roads, bridges, sewers, dams, levees

We are in a sorry state in this nation especially to be sending so much money to non Americans.
