A teenage girl now reportedly identifies as a cat with the Melbourne private school where she attends supporting her 'animal behaviour'.

The year eight student does not speak during school hours, according to the report in the Herald Sun, despite being described as 'phenomenally bright'.

A parent reportedly told the paper that the school let the girl behave like a cat as long as it did not distract her or other students.
'No one seems to have a protocol for students identifying as animals, but the approach has been that if it doesn't disrupt the school, everyone is being supportive,' a source close to the family told the newspaper.
For once, I am speechless!

If a child identifies as a graduate, do they still have to go to school?

I hope more start identifying as "something".

Overwhelm the system until it collapses onto itself.

Did the cat request a litter box ?

How I miss the days when all kids had to do to get attention was to dye their hair, wear provocative clothes, or get a few piercings.

"Phenomenally bright" doesn't translate to well adjusted and normal.

A teen who really believes they're cat has serious mental issues.

spay or neuter her,
tie a bell around her neck so the birds get a fighting chance.

bet she'd be pretty cheap to feed... on a diet of kibble and a few bits of salmon treats.
