More than 20 million households face a “tsunami of shutoffs” after falling behind on their utility bills as the price for electricity skyrockets because of decades-high inflation, experts predict.
Since the pre-pandemic era, the amount owed to utility companies has doubled for approximately one out of every six homes nationwide, according to Bloomberg News.

But but.. How are all those people going to charge their Teslas if their power is shut off?
Maybe now that the students are getting their loans paid down Granny Warren and the rest can start harping on the Greedy Electric companies that care more about profits than the People that need power. Without power how can people start a business, get a mortgage a car loan or get married? Without Power how can these people give a Boost to the Economy that she claims paying off student debt will?

It is not fair.
brandon may just bail them all out as part of his gigantic vote-buying scheme.
student loan forgiven is not going to add extra money to boost the economy, the students or ex students have not been paying ,so there is no savings there/
You can cut back on using your A/C and unplug appliances you seldom use,use a fan instead.
Saw an interesting term for this on Reuters. In the UK they call it "living in fuel poverty" if a household is low income and needs to spend more than 10% or more of its income on energy. Makes me really happy to live in a place where energy is cheap. But the current administration seems to want us to live in fuel poverty too.
