It's very sad what happened, but it seems like many migrants have no idea that some of America's cities like Denver or Chicago have violent crime rates much likely far worse than the places they came from.

Many "migrants" are fleeing places with much lower places, than places like Denver and Chicago.

It is terrible what happened, but I wonder why any migrant looking for safety would move to the Denver Metro area which has the violent crime of the world's worst war-zones.

Migrants often aren't fleeing violence; they're fleeing poverty.

If this admin enforced our existing immigration laws he’d likely still be alive.

Their claims are bogus anyway. There is not viable asylum claim to come here because of violence in their own countries. Sorry, but I have no sympathy for liars.

And neither one of those things are a viable asylum claim. It doesn't excuse them for coming here illegally either.

Yep, they are fleeing poverty and corruption of the Authorities and Elected.

If it gets any worse here in the states we just might see the illegals self deporting back home.

I wonder how many would be coming here if they were led to a space on a sidewalk to call home and not put up in a Hotel with room service and given spending money?

They're economic migrants. They're coming to America for the same reason Puerto Ricans move to New York City. Money.

These are landless peasants who must trade their labor for wages. They're just going to where the pay is best. Just as any sane man would do under similar circumstances.

People are willing to put up with a lot of crap for more money. Not just immigrants, everyone.

Nonsense comparing Denver crime rates to violence Iraq, and Denver is not even in Arapahoe County.

No, he was not an illegal alien, he was a refugee from Iraq, - likely someone who worked with US troops there.

From the article: "The family waited for years and went through the legal process before finding their home in Denver."
