Yeah I think I would have went with "the United States destabilizing central and south American governments" before the "climate change" talking point. But I guess the White House won't admit that one.

There has undoubtedly been some "climate change". However not the k8nd the dems always say. It would be localized change of their microclimate due to deforesting and slash and burn farming. Go to the third world and look around. It's the same all over. They slash and burn and the soil gets completely depleted. After that it turns into this red earth that nothing grows on. If you turn a green forest into a clear cut with that soil baking in the sun it is going to be hotter.
There will be floods, droughts etc. when I lived in Laos the cut down pretty much the last of he forests there. Cambodia is also border to border clearcut. A decade ago I saw trucks with one single log on them. Huge old growth trees. Now those trees didn't die because of climate change they went on trucks to China.
Gotta love the belt and roads initiatives where China bankrupts you with debt for worthless roads and uses them to bring everything your country had to China.
Anyway aside from that those trees didn't die and the land didn't change because of people like John Kerry and DiCaprio flying private jets. They strippped the land bare and then bad things began to happen.
If you have some land and don't believe me you can test it yourself cut all your trees down, strip the soil to a bare hard crust and see if your place gets warmer when it's hot.
