Texas Border Encounters Continue Decline as Illegal Entries Shift to California, Arizona

The number of Border Patrol encounters with illegal aliens in Texas continued to plunge in February, thanks to the effectiveness of Republican Governor Greg Abbott’s Operation Lone Star. Meanwhile, encounters spiked again in California and Arizona, where Democrat governors are in charge, as illegal aliens increasingly turned their focus to more welcoming borders.

Through Operation Lone Star, Gov. Abbott has installed wire fencing at the border, deployed floating border barriers and called out the Texas National Guard to deter illegal immigration.

And, his efforts have been successful.

...
Last month, illegal alien encounters in Texas dropped 30%, compared to the previous February, with all five sectors recording declines, ranging from 20% in Rio Grande Valley to 42% in Big Bend.

...
Thus, now that breaking into the country through the Texas border has become a much more daunting task, illegal aliens appear to be migrating westward to enter through states that are less zealous about securing their borders.

Good news for Texas.

Now the smugglers (which includes the U.S. government) which have to incur more time and effort to spread people around the country.

Pretty much proves that this problem is by design and could be remedied overnight.

Or, it could just be fewer people trying for a variety of reasons.

Abbott is still scum for spending billions on the border while refusing to properly fund schools until his rich buddies get subsidies for their kids' expensive private schooling using state issued vouchers.

Sounds like Abbott is smart. Like any politician worth his salt, he knows how to distract the masses with hot-button emotional issues (like immigration) while personally enriching himself and his wealthy donors.

Spending $10k/year on free daycare for the savage offspring of democrat degenerates should be sufficient.

Reading the headline for this thread, it sounded like Texas had adopted policies that reduced Marfa, TX/Roswell, New Mexico type extraterrestrial alien encounters.

Illegal immigration aka an invasion of Texas' border and the rest of the U.S. is an emotional issue? No, it's a law and the security of our nation's issue!
