A man was sentenced to more than 4,000 years in prison Wednesday for sexually assaulting three teenage girls over two years.
A day after finding James Kevin Pope guilty, jurors sentenced him to 40 life prison terms — one for each sex assault conviction — and 20 years for each of the three sexual performance of a child convictions.
At the request of prosecutors, state District Judge Graham Quisenberry ordered Pope to serve the sentences consecutively, adding up to 4,060 years. He will be eligible for parole in the year 3209, according to the Parker County District Attorney's Office.
Yeah it makes me sick to hear the Manson killer wants to try to get parole since she is terminal ill (brain cancer) . Well she has been a sicko to commit these crimes and to hear her lawyer make a statement that she hasn't been a threat to society for decades....WTF!, she was in jail for decades!!!
I don't care she has one leg and brain cancer.....I feel sorry for Sharon Tate and how she begged for her life and her childs life....
thousands of years in jail.....so if they win an appeal, there is much time left...never let these freaks out, they prey on our kids and don't give a da$$.
What difference between Texas and Vermont when it comes to punishing child rapers.
One thing you will notice in Texas, when they are parading a guy like this to court and back, they put a bullet proof vests on him just in case someone decides to pass a judgement of their own.
That's good that he will spend the rest of his life in prison (and not get out under any circumstances because of the LONG sentence he got) and pay for the crimes he committed. This should happen more often.
Wow...4060 years. Folk must think this is the Bible days where folk lived 800+ years. You'd think he killed all of Texas to get a sentence like that. He might as well die in prison which is what'll most likely happen.
