Let Freedom Ring.

True enough. However never before have people been able to do so in the places and numbers currently. Iran executed 66 people this month alone. That should tell us something.

WW3 is on the way. I am telling you. Expect Israel to be attacked in the next couple of years at most.

What makes you think "freedom" is going to be the end result?

Well that depends. Besides oil what other interest is there in the middle east to war over? Maybe a religious extremist might war in the middle east but the major countries supporting that to possible self destruction wouldn't be wise.

China, America, Russia and a few other major players are the ones with the means to destroy the world. What would cause them to go to world war in the middle east? Then again WW1 was started by a small country sucking in the big ones. But I don't see Russia or China joining sides with Arabs against Israel even if America sided with Israel. Then again common sense might not prevail.

Of course America wouldn't ever have to be involved if it just effin stayed out of it....but.

Yep, Egypt started the so-called revolution with a grumpy old military man in charge, and under de facto martial law. It "ended" with another bunch of grumpy old military men in charge and under actual martial law. hmmm...

Guess who...
"Time after time, observers have questioned whether this country or that people or this group are ready for democracy, as if freedom were a prize you win from meeting our own Western standards of progress.

In fact, the daily work of democracy itself is the path of progress. It teaches cooperation, the free exchange of ideas, peaceful resolution of differences.

As men and women are showing from Bangladesh to Botswana to Mongolia, it is the practice of democracy that makes a nation ready for democracy and every nation can start on this path.

It should be clear to all that Islam, the faith of one-fifth of humanity, is consistent with democratic rule. Democratic progress is found in many predominantly Muslim countries: in Turkey, Indonesia and Senegal and Albania and Niger and Sierra Leone.

Muslim men and women are good citizens of India and South Africa, the nations of Western Europe and of the United States of America. More than half of all Muslims live in freedom under democratically constituted governments.

They succeed in democratic societies, not in spite of their faith, but because of it. A religion that demands individual moral accountability and encourages the encounter of the individual with God is fully compatible with the rights and responsibilities of self-government."
